Ground Regulations
While smoking is allowed
in the ground, we request that spectators refrain from smoking within any of
the three stands. The Railway End Stand has asthma, you see, while the other
two just support the nanny state.
Alcoholic drinks can be purchased in the clubhouse and brought through to
the main stadium. However, as league rules dictate, we ask that these not be
taken beside the pitch side fences, as our players are largely recovering
alcoholics who can't handle their drink.
We retain the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the ground,
anyone who repeatedly fails to comply with these regulations. But we
probably won't - we need the money and it's more than likely we'll just
stand in the corner and talk about you.
Foul, abusive or racist language is strictly forbidden. It's not big and
it's not clever - like George Bush.
Any person found vandalising, damaging or defacing the club's property will
be prosecuted, or similarly vandalised, damaged or defaced. Or all.
Directions:
From
Train Station:
Exit through main door and cross the car park towards The Griffin to
your right on the corner. Turn right down this street (Botchergate) and
after quarter-mile take a right into St Nicholas Street (toward Morrison's).
Continue onto St Nicholas Bridge,
and if on foot/bicycle turn left on the other side of the bridge into Regent Street.
Follow this as it becomes a grass path that brings you to a railway bridge.
Cross bridge and ground is on your right.
and if travelling by car take the second exit at mini-roundabout (200 yards
off bridge) onto Boundary Road. Continue as this becomes Upperby Road.
After three-quarter mile turn left into St Ninian's Road and we are down the
track which is on the
left immediately under the Railway Bridge.
By Car:

Approaching from the North and South: Exit the M6 at Junction 42,
(the most Southerly of the 3 exits) and take the second (from South) or
fifth (from North) exit onto the A6 toward Carlisle. Follow this road into
Carlisle and after 1.7 miles turn into the second left, Petterill Bank Road.
After half-a-mile and once past the shops, turn right just before the
Railway Bridge into the small track that leads down to the ground.
Approaching from the East: Travelling on the A69, you can join the M6
on the edge of Carlisle and follow the directions above. Alternatively, head
straight over the motorway junction and continuing on the A69, Warwick Road.
Take the third on the left onto Eastern Way and follow for 1.3 miles until
you reach the A6, London Road. Turn left, onto the A6 and heading toward the
motorway, before taking the first right, Petterill Bank Road. After
half-a-mile and once past the shops, turn right just before the Railway
Bridge into the small track that leads down to the ground.
Approaching from the West, Workington and Wigton: Erm, to be honest I'm
not sure. Try the map above until I find out.
