New Year's Address

We’ve now reached the halfway point and, looking back, the first half of the season has gone really well - probably better than we expected.

To be sitting in third place at Christmas is something which gives us a boost and is a massive plus for all at the club.

I believe the second part of the season will be very hard as there are a lot of quality teams right through the league, and I believe each team is capable of beating each other.

Off the pitch we are still busy finalising our plans for the upgrade of the ground which we hope in turn will allow us to progress to the next level. The supporters and players often don't see this side of things, but I can assure you the amount of work that everyone puts in to make this club what it is can be quite phenomenal.

The financial side of things also adds pressure to the running of the club. Bear in mind that any match-day revenue is immediately spent on match-day expenses and we see that our only source of income comes from our much appreciated sponsors.

This will be one of our main concerns next season because, if we do go up, then obviously the running costs will increase.

At times the amount of work we have to do to run the club leaves you little time for anything else, but at the end of the day this is something we get a lot of satisfaction out of otherwise we would not be doing it.

Your support is very much appreciated, and when we see the large crowds in the stands and on the touchlines it gives us all a boost. I can only thank you for that and hope you will continue to turn out for future matches.

Regards
