Gillford Park have today put 'seven days' in to Annan Athletic, concerning their first-team captain Chris Jardine. The twenty-nine year old midfielder was 'shown the door' at Galabank after picking up two red cards in a South of Scotland Challenge Cup match with Threave Rovers last Saturday, December 15. Gillford manager Jimmy McMurdo was alerted to the ex-Rangers midfielder's availability by a local press report. He said: "Chris is by the far the best player at Galabank. I know him very well, I was team-mates with him when I was at Annan. He would be a fantastic signing for Gillford Park." A number of clubs from Dumfries and Galloway's South of Scotland League are believed to be interested in signing Chris, who lives in Dumfries. |
