Gillford to meet Annan

It was announced this evening that Gillford Park will pay a visit to Galabank, the home of East of Scotland League Champions, Annan Athletic, to play a pre-season friendly in July.

Gillford will meet Harry Cairney's side on July 21st, in what is expected to be the first outing for the Park while Annan will be two games into their preparations, having already hosted the Scottish Brewers sponsored Annan tournament.

The game will be of special interest to Gillford manager Jimmy McMurdo, who turned out in Annan's colours during his playing career, while midfielder Chris Grainger could come up against brother Ian amongst other former team-mates, as he returns to the club from whom he joined Gillford.

The game is scheduled for a 2.30 kick off and any supporters wishing to travel can catch trains at 12:18 (arriving at 1pm) and at at 13:00 (arriving at 1.35pm). The ground is around a 25 minute walk from the train station.
