Frozen out

Gillford Park were well and truly frozen out yesterday.

The away visit to Ashington Colliers was postponed after an inspection by a local referee ruled the pitch unplayable.

The home pitch suffered the same fate on Saturday morning, when even the work of Gillford's valiant ground staff couldn't prevent the frost from penetrating the pitch and Carlisle United's youth league encounter with Burnley had to be called off.

The next game is this Saturday away to Peterlee Town.
