Carlisle United come to GP

Carlisle United will be coming to Gillford Park. Their youth team, that is.

The clubs new training pitch, which is also used by Carlisle United's Under-18 squad, has only recently been laid, but it has not coped well with the winter deluges which have befallen the city.

Beaten finalists in last season Cumberland Cup, the United youngsters are third in their league. The side's FA Youth Alliance League North-West Conference match against Burnley will be staged at Gillford, on December 15th 2007. They were due to play last Saturday, December 1st, but that match was postponed.
