Gillford Park are five too good.

JIMMY McMurdo's side bounced back in the best way possible from last week's drama, with a five-nil drubbing of basement side Newcastle University.

When push came to shove, Gillford were the next step up as John Lee Allen, Tom Brocklebank, Steve Skinner, Kyle Armstrong and Dan Rayson got their names on the scoresheet.

Gillford were forced to cope in the absence of a number of players and at-home-debuts were handed to Kyle Armstrong and goalkeeper Lee Tedford. Stuart Moffat returned from injury while John Lee Allen regained his place in the starting eleven.

It sets the team up nicely for a potentially tricky trip away to the windy Sporting Club of Cramlington next Saturday, to take on mid-table outfit, newly promoted club Cramlington Town.

A match report is now online and can be accessed via the 'Results and Fixtures' link, on the menu, left.
