Ashington Colliers Away Saturday, February 2 2008 The only team we’ve yet to play this season, Gillford were originally scheduled to face the Colliers two weeks ago. The reserve side of Northern League Ashington, they have access to a potential goldmine of talent but, lagging in the lower part of mid-table, don’t appear to be utilising it. The outcome of this one will very much depend on how we perform in the games in the previous couple of games, but with confidence hopefully high we should be looking to take, at the very least, a point. Northbank Carlisle Home Saturday, February 9 2008 We beat Northbank four-nil in one of the first games of the season and after an average start, they fell the table and currently lie rock bottom. With these stats, in a normal game nothing other than victory could do, but this is a derby and anything can happen. Still, a match we should win. Blyth Town Away Saturday, February 23 2008
Blyth Town took the lead when they travelled
to Carlisle in November, but we came back the strongest and put five past
them before they grabbed a late consolation. We’ve played them twice, also
winning two-nil in a League Cup contest last season, and this is one more
game which we should be looking to win. |
